Center for Responsive Schools (CRS) has a nearly 40-year history of developing research- and evidence-based SEL programs. CRS has a new program soon to come: Fly Five, The Social and Emotional Learning Curriculum.
Fly Five is in development and scheduled for release in early 2021, but we thought that parts of this program could be so helpful to educators and students during the COVID-19 health crisis that we needed to share some pieces ahead of schedule!
Below you’ll find a few sample school-to-home connection activity sheets.
You’re partnering with parents in new ways while many of us (on all sides) are working from home. To help foster the continued growth of students’ social-emotional skills and productive partnerships between yourself and parents, share these engaging activity sheets with students’ families. They include things like dinner discussions, art activities, and virtual connections, all intended to strengthen SEL skills beyond the classroom.
[table id=3 /]While these school-to-home connections will feel particularly helpful during distance learning, they are designed to work at any time of the year and in any circumstances.
We will continue to provide support and engaging resources to keep students on a successful path, no matter where their learning may be taking place!
